City Finances
The finances for the City of Simonton are a matter of public record. Every detail of how money is spent is to be made available to anyone that asks for it upon request. This includes the detailed budget and expenditures of the city as well as the nature, amounts, and repositories for all financial and cash accounts.
While it occasionally may appear the city lacks the fullest of transparency on some matters matters, it may not be intentional, it may simply be that they haven’t gotten around to posting the vital information that the community is looking for.
If there is a subject that the you believe that the community has a right to know and if it is not made easily available to find on the city website, you can certainly request it through the information request process. Of course, you can surely call Simonton City Hall at 281-533-9809. Maybe they’ll be able to answer your question on the phone.

At the end of the day, Simonton is OUR city and our city leaders are our neighbors. They want to help. Let’s agree to treat all that serve under the banner of the City or Simonton with the respect and appreciation that they deserve for providing us with their service.
