At the March 18, 2025 City Council Meeting, during “public comments” time, a resident complained about the amount of money spent on legal bills. Her assertion was that they had increased significantly beginning in 2023 and continue to be high. Further she suggested that the reasons for this was that the city council members were calling attorneys directly (for legal advise) instead of getting that “from the city”.

Following the public comments made by this person, Councilmember Haley attemped to correct the record while the Mayor clearly worked to shut down any response – even consulting the city attorney for a ‘ruling’ on the question. 

Councilmember Haley responded and committed to put the legal bills online so that residents could see for themselves, exactly what the legal bills contained.

Note: The legal bills were put on a facebook group that is not open to the public. For that reason, they are posted here so that the community can see for themselves what their tax dollars were spent on.
