There will be two meetings held on Tuesday, June 25th at Simonton City Hall.

6:00 pm: EDC “A” Meeting

The first is a meeting of Economic Development Corporation “A” (EDC A). It will begin at 6:00 pm. The agenda for this meeting appears fairly light, focusing on a review of the “By-Laws” of the corporation. No actions may be taken since none is mentioned on the meeting agenda.

6:30 pm: City Council Meeting

The second meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. It is technically be a “Special” meeting since the Mayor rescheduled the City Council’s “Regular” meeting from the third Tuesday to the fourth Tuesday.

As you may expect, this meeting is more in-depth and focuses on items that are regular business items for the City Council’s consideration.

This meeting includes:

• Approval of minutes from the previous meeting and a review of City financial reports

New business includes:

• Possibly hiring Joe Esch to be the city’s “Economic Development Director”
• Receiving a presentation from Joe Esch
• Considering (again) repairs to the siding on City Hall
• Considering applications received Board Member applications for appointment to EDC “B”
• The City Council will then adjourn into a private/secret “Executive Session” for “Consultation with Legal Council” and apparently to discuss a personnel matter related to hiring a City Secretary or City Administrator. 

Interested parties should review the agendas to better understand the issues to be discussed. 

The public is encouraged to attend and to participate in sharing their thoughts and concerns via “Public Comments”.

Note, however, when comments are made that relate specifically to the city and their business, I fully intend to ensure that those comments are heard.

Regarding Internet Bandwidth Drop Outs:
Any “skips” that may occur during a live-stream, causing the video to be interrupted momentarily, are beyond my control and occur when the bandwidth from my internet provider drops out during a live stream broadcast. These are going to happen from time to time and are unavoidable when wireless internet is used.

In general, as the public will see by the online record, in order to provide the most complete recording possible with the best audio I am able to provide, I have begun posting the full, higher-quality video from my video camera on YouTube the following day or as soon as possible after the meeting
